Strengthen awareness and capacity of working children, parents, government and non-government actors, and communities regarding child rights, justice, the harmful effects of hazardous labour, and the importance of compliance with labour laws and child protection policies.
Eliminate hazardous and exploitative child labour by transitioning children to educational opportunities or non-hazardous roles while ensuring improved access to education, vocational training, career development, healthcare, nutrition, and economic support services based on age and gender-specific needs, accompanied by robust monitoring and regular follow-up.
Strengthen multi-stakeholder partnerships and advocacy to influence policy development and enforcement, enhance service provider accountability, and mobilize resources for the sustainability of interventions to eliminate exploitative and hazardous child labour.
Number of staff actively attended capacity building trainings and sessions on child rights, justice, the harmful effects of hazardous labor, and the importance of compliance with labor laws and child protection policies.
25,000 stakeholders, including 10,000 working children, actively participate in awareness-raising sessions on child rights, protection, and the negative consequences of child labor.
Established and operationalized effective community-based child protection mechanisms.
Increased capacity of 850 community-based forums and local institutions/enterprises, including 2,515 employers, to prevent hazardous child labor and improve working conditions.
Increased enrollment of at least 2,500 working children in formal education.
7,000 working children safely withdrawn from hazardous and exploitative labor.
9,000 children gain sustained access to healthcare, nutrition, and economic support services, reducing vulnerabilities and preventing re-engagement in child labor.
